The Tap Classic - A contest for iOS art

We love apps that help people create cool stuff. Whether it be visual art, music or written words, apps that inspire and facilitate creation are enjoying a renaissance right now and people are creating amazing things.

We want to showcase some of the amazing apps on this blog and reward the folks who create with them. Starting today, we’ll be holding a weekly contest. We’ll pick one great app on Monday, give you a week to make your masterpiece and then we’ll post the winner on Friday. The winning artist gets a $25 iTunes gift code (or equivalent value in apps if outside of the U.S).

We’re excited to kick this off with the app ‘TypeDrawing’ by Hansol Huh.

The free version of the app works great and is ad-supported, but you should support the $1.99 paid version or grab the iPad version. To see what’s possible with TypeDrawing, check out the TypeDrawing Flickr Group. We hope you have a slammin’ good time with this beautiful app.
